Role Overview:

EWB-SA is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join its Board of Directors as a Nonprofit Finance Specialist. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial guidance and oversight, ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability while aligning with its mission and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy: Collaborate with the Board and executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with EWB-SA’s mission and objectives.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts to support decision-making and planning.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and review financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in nonprofit financial management.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, recommending mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s assets and reputation.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to the Board, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Develop and refine EWB-SA’s monitoring and evaluation framework, incorporating best practices, indicators, and data collection methods to track program performance and outcomes.
  • Impact Assessment: Lead the design and implementation of impact assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness and long-term impact of EWB-SA’s projects on target communities and stakeholders.
  • Data Management: Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and ethical standards in data handling and reporting.
  • Learning and Adaptation: Facilitate organizational learning and adaptive management processes, synthesizing evaluation findings and lessons learned to inform programmatic decision-making and continuous improvement.
